Big things are on the horizon for the Dripping Springs community! A brand-new, expansive sports and recreation facility—the Dripping Springs Sports Club (DSSC)—is set to open in 2027, bringing over 200,000 square feet of fitness, family entertainment, and sports amenities right to the heart of the Sunset Canyon and Headwaters neighborhoods.

What to Expect

Designed as a multi-purpose destination, DSSC will offer something for everyone—from athletes to families simply looking for a fun, healthy place to spend time together. Here’s a closer look at what’s in store:

Fitness & Wellness – 60,000 Square Feet

  • State-of-the-art workout equipment

  • Group fitness classes

  • High-performance training zones

  • Elevated indoor running track with sweeping views of the Hill Country

Family Entertainment – 20,000 Square Feet

  • Indoor adventure park

  • Climate-controlled play areas

  • Birthday party spaces

  • Onsite childcare options

Sports Courts – Over 100,000 Square Feet

  • Four high school regulation basketball courts (convertible to 12 volleyball courts)

  • Six covered pickleball courts

  • Four outdoor beach volleyball courts

  • Outdoor basketball court

  • 20,000 square feet of outdoor turf for multipurpose use

Additional amenities will include an onsite café, extended hours for post-workout recovery, and weekend services to support tournaments and events.

A Hub for Health & Community Connection

As DSSC President [Rose's full name if you know it] puts it, this isn’t just about adding another gym—it’s about creating a community hub where wellness and family life intersect.

“DSSC will serve as a place where parents can work out while their children practice, siblings can participate in different activities at the same time, and families can reconnect over a meal—without spending hours in traffic,” Rose shared. “We’re focused on making life healthier and more balanced for Dripping Springs families.”

Currently in the pre-development phase, the project is moving forward with a targeted opening in mid-2027.

Meet the Team Behind the Vision

This ambitious project is being led by a team deeply rooted in youth sports and community development:

  • Rose, an experienced youth sports coach and President of Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association Volleyball.

  • Ashley Rose, founder of the Dripping Springs chapter of Kardivas, a character-building club for fifth-grade girls.

  • Luke Axtell, former collegiate and professional basketball player, will lead the club’s basketball programming.

  • Denver Lee, co-founder and director of Austin Performance Volleyball.

  • Chris Lupton, founder of Hill Country Indoor, serving as an advisor.

Why It Matters for Dripping Springs

With rapid growth and increasing demand for recreational spaces, DSSC promises to be a welcome addition to the Dripping Springs landscape—providing families with a convenient, comprehensive solution for fitness, sports, and entertainment.

As a local resident and real estate advisor, I’m excited to see developments like these that enhance our community’s quality of life. Stay tuned for updates as this project takes shape!
